About ME
Dave Gilbert
I've been running the rivers around the Spokane area since 2002 and have gotten more serious about it over the past ten years. In that time I've developed a strong desire to make these rivers more accessible to more people. I love to show people what we have here and help make them more comfortable and competent on the water.
My Training
In addition to paddling and exploring the rivers in the area for the last 20 years, I am an American Canoe Association certified Level IV Whitewater Kayak Instructor, a Washington State Licensed Raft Guide and Raft Guide Instructor, and I'm a Swiftwater Rescuer. I also have wilderness medicine certifications including Wilderness First Responder and Outdoor Emergency Care Technician.
Instruction
Besides really enjoying being on the river I am also passionate about instruction. I build lessons plans and adjust as needed for every single participant that I get. Making sure that each person has a great time and a successful learning experience is what it's all about. I promise that you will be a better and more confident boater every time we paddle together.
